RAWALPINDI: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has nabbed a blacklisted US national at Benazir International Airport for entering Pakistan after he was deported five years ago for suspicious activities.
Mathew, US citizen landed at Benazir International Airport after entering wrong credentials on landing card and was shifted to immigration cell by the agency.
The agency lodged a case against FIA personnel named Raja Asif and Ehtashamul Haq for giving him clearance at the airport and a woman official of Pakistan Commission Houston who is responsible for issuance of visas.
He was deported in 2011 for involvement in suspicious activities and was added in the black list. Ehtasham was arrested following registration of the case while police are conducting raids to cop his father.
Mathew was later presented in the court of judicial magistrate Yasir Mushtaq for remand.
